doTERRA has a fantastic compensation plan, but when your first starting out it can seem really overwhelming and confusing. I have broken it down in this post to hopeful help you understand it better.

5 Ways to Earn Commission

Retail

People can purchase oils from you at retail price. There is a 25% markup from the wholesale price, so you get to keep that 25%.

This is definitely hauling buckets and not the best for wither yourself or your customer. They could be getting 25% off the prices and you could be earning residual income. This may be a great option if you already have a brick and mortar store and you enrol alongside selling retail. In the long run you’re better off showing people how they can save money by getting their own account.

Fast Start

The fast start bonus is there to help you get off the ground when you’re first starting your doTERRA business. It is paid weekly and you get 20% of the total pv of all orders your new enrolment places for the first 60 days.

The fast start bonus is also earned on three levels. For example if I enrol a customer then I would get 20%, my enroller would get 10% and their enroller would get 5%.

Again, in order to receive Fast Start you must have your 100pv LRP order set up and complete a 100pv LRP order for the month. You do not get Unilevel bonuses paid whilst you are getting Fast Start, the Unilevel will kick in once the 60 day period has expired.

UniLevel

Ok, so the chart below may look intimidating and confusing, but bear with me. We will break it down and hopefully by the end it will all start to make sense.

Unilevel is your passive income. It’s the best income of all because this is the income you earn even if you need to take a holiday or have time off because your sick. You can receive unilevel on up to seven levels of your organisation. Unlike other companies, you earn the highest percentage at the lowest levels. Because this is where more of your volume is it means you end up getting paid more then if it was reversed. They also have whats called dynamic compression. This is just a fancy way of saying that if someone below you doesn’t qualify to earn commission on an order, it rolls up to you!

This commission is paid monthly, usually between 15th-20th. Its important you always have 100pv LRP sitting in your cart to ensure you get paid.

There is an exception to having a 100pv order in your cart to earn commissions. You can earn the first level of unilevel commissions (2%) whilst only placing a 50pv order during the month.

Unilevel commissions are based on your current rank, for example an Elite will get paid up to 5 levels of unilevel and a Silver will get paid up to 7 levels of commissions.

Power of 3

The Power of Three Bonus is a monthly bonus of $50, $250 or $1500. There are a few things that need to happen in order for you to qualify for these bonuses.

$50 Power 3 – In order to earn the $50 bonus, you must have three customers on your frontline with at least 100pv each, with a minimum team volume of 600. The team volume does not have to come from LRP orders, but they must come from those on your frontline. You must also have your own LRP of at least 100pv.

$250 Power of 3 – In order to earn the $250 bonus, you must first qualify for the $50 Bonus. The three customers who qualified you for the $50 Bonus must also qualify for the $50 Bonus ie they must have three customers on their frontline with at least 100pv each, with a minimum team volume of 600 and their own LRP of at least 100pv.

$1,500 Power of 3 – In order to earn the $1,500 bonus, you must first qualify for the $250 Bonus. The nine customers who qualified your people, will then need to also qualify for the $50 power of 3 by having three customers on their frontline with at least 100pv each, with a minimum team volume of 600 and their own LRP of at least 100pv.

The great thing is you can have multiple can have multiple Power of Three structures.  Once you earn your $1,500 Power of Three structure, you can then start all over again to qualify to be paid on an additional structure.

Leadership Pool / Rank Bonuses

These bonuses are determined based on set percentages from global commissions. A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (1% or 2%), multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share or shares in the month. Below is the breakdown of each of these pools.

Silver & Premier Empowerment Pool Bonus
This pool is made up of 1 percent of Global PV
Silvers and Premiers who personally enroll a new member with 100 PV earn one share. This works out to approximately $200

Leadership Performance Pool 
This pool is made up of 2 percent Global PV
Silvers earn 1 share Golds earn 5 shares
Platinums earn 10 shares

Diamond Performance Pool 
This pool is made up of 1 percent Global PV
Diamonds earn 1 share
Blue Diamonds earn 2 shares
Presidential Diamonds earn 3 shares

Diamond Pool 
This pool is made up of 1 percent of Global PV
Diamonds earn 3 shares

Blue Diamond Pool 
This pool is made up of 1 percent of Global PV
Blue Diamonds earn 3 shares

Presidential Diamond Pool 
This pool is made up of 1 percent of Global PV

As you enrol more builders on your team you can start to earn even more shares in these pools! E.g. if you are a Gold and one of the builders you enrolled achieves Elite for the first time, you will get an extra share from the Leadership Performance Pool.

Ranks in doTERRA

There are 15 ranks you can reach in doTERRA and there are certain requirements to reach each one. Each time you reach a rank doTERRA will send you a certificate for reaching a new rank.

Wellness Advocate:
This is where everyone starts out.
You must place at least 50pv to earn Unilevel Commission.

Manager
Place 100 PV or more LRP
OV (collective team volume) of 500 PV.

Director
Place 100 PV or more LRP
OV of 1000 PV.

Executive
Place 100 PV or more LRP
OV of 2000 PV.

Elite
Place 100 PV or more LRP
OV of 3,000 PV.

Premier
Place 100 PV or more LRP
OV of 5000 PV
Have 2 Executives who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.

Silver
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Have 3 Elites who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.
Once you hit Silver you get an Account Manager

Gold
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Have 3 Premiers who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.

Platinum
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Have 3 Silvers who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.

Diamond
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Have 4 Silvers who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.

Blue Diamond
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Have 5 Golds who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.

Presidential Diamond
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Have 6 Platinums who are personally enrolled and in separate legs.

Double Diamond
Place 100 PV or more LRP
Once a Wellness Advocate has reached Presidential Diamond, they have the opportunity to start a second account. They advance to Double Diamond when the second account reaches Diamond.

Double Blue Diamond:
Double Blue is achieved when the second account reaches Blue Diamond.

Double Presidential Diamond:
Double Presidential is reached when the second account reaches Presidential.
